About Scout's Notebook PH

Coverage of High School basketball in the Philippines has slowly been growing. Back then, stories were hard to find. Thankfully, a number of media outlets have embraced covering this, and High School basketball is starting to receive the recognition which it deserves.

But, there's so much more to High School basketball than the scores which come out of the games which these players play. There are stories to be told, and things to be analyzed with regards to the way they play the game of basketball.

That's what Scout's Notebook PH is all about. More than just being a hub for scouting reports and analysis, this website/blog also hopes to provide to you the story of the High School basketball player. There's so much more to these players than just what schools they're going to and whether they'll be a star or not. The goal isn't to answer the what. The goal is to answer the why and the how, and Scout's Notebook PH hopes to do just that.

On the afternoon of April 11, 2017, SPIN.ph reported that coach Goldwin Monteverde has resigned from his position as head coach of the Adamson Baby Falcons. Rumors of coach Goldwin's resignation has been going around High School basketball circles, so the news of the resignation didn't come as that much of a surprise for insiders. Just seeing him in uniform was already enough for fans of the Blue Eagles to go wild. Seeing a NCAA Juniors MVP wear an Ateneo jersey feels weird, for any fan. Seeing a former La Salle Greenhills player wear the blue and white? It's like an Ateneo High School boy wearing a La Salle jersey. Oh.. wait...
