Updates Along The Sidewalk: August 14, 2013

Well, it's been a while ever since my last post. You guys may wonder why. Well...

School has taken it's toll on me. Not only physically but mentally. So I decided that I'll be taking a slight hiatus for the meantime.

How long?

Till August 24, the last day of our exams.

I'm really sorry that I had to do this, but the thing is, junior year has really been harsh not only to me but also to my batch mates, so I was really forced to do this. So if you guys may be wondering what articles you should watch out for..

An INCREDIBLY overdue FIBA Asia Gilas Pilipinas post
UAAP Main Game Recaps and Breakdowns
PBA Main Game Recaps and Breakdowns
PBA MVP/BPC Rankings
Some sentimental emo thoughts

I'll be back, so watch out. :)

Analyzing Shaun Ildefonso's decision to join the NU Bulldogs

Last night, in a surprising turn of events for many, Shaun Ildefonso announced on his Twitter account that he was leaving Ateneo to join the NU Bulldogs. You can find his entire message below: Ateneo will always be home. Thank you for the One Big Fight 💙 pic.twitter.com/uV2usLF7bx — Shaun Ildefonso (@ShaunIldefonso) May 29, 2017 The gist of his message is this: He's joining NU to join his dad, and he feels like with the Bulldogs, his athletic potential will be fully realized. For the case of this piece, only two facts are important: Shaun Ildefonso is going to NU, and a big reason for that happens to be his dad, Danny Ildefonso. So how do these factors affect not only Shaun, but other things as well? Let's talk about just that. How the decision affects Shaun It's important that we discuss the primary subject of this entire exercise...

Open Letter To The San Miguel Beermen

NOTE: This article isn't exactly in a form of a letter. The look of frustration beckons. (credits to Interaksyon.com) To be honest, I have never been a die hard San Miguel Beermen fan until the season of their Governors’ Cup championship against the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters. Sure, they were my very first favorite PBA team, but the only reason for that was because Olsen Racela’s son was a friend and a batch mate. Despite that though, SMB has been my top favorite team. I may root for Alaska, RoS and at times Air 21, but the San Miguel Beermen will always be my top team. The very first time that the Beermen broke my heart was when they lost an epic 7 game series against the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters in the 2012 Philippine Cup, back when they were still called the Petron Blaze Boosters. Despite that, I still continued to root for the team....
